Speech-Language Evaluations are provided for children and teens referred by parents, physicians, schools, teachers, therapists and other medical specialists.
Evaluations are conducted over 1 to 4 sessions to allow for sufficient time and opportunity to establish rapport with the child or teen and to get a picture over time of their typical speech, language and communication.
Both formal and informal assessment procedures are utilized to obtain comparative data for diagnostic analysis and recommendations. Input from parents, caregivers, teachers, therapists and physicians is welcome for a more complete picture of the child’s or teen’s needs.
Assessment information is used to make recommendations for speech-language therapy or to other professionals, and to develop a treatment plan for therapy.
